Municipal Freedom of Information

The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) came into effect on January 1st, 1991. The legislation applies to all municipalities in Ontario and to various other "institutions" such as local boards and commissions. This act gives you the right to request access to government-held information, including information about you.

The Council of the Township of Huron Kinloss is the "Head" as defined in the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy in Municipalities and Local Boards Act. Requests under the Act are processed by the Administrator.
