ATV Use

The All-Terrain Vehicle Use By-law No 2008-44 controls the use and operation of All Terrain Vehicles on all roads within the municipality.

Approved All-Terrain Vehicles under Regulation 316/03 of the Highway Traffic Act may operate an ATV on specified roadways, at a specified speed, and at a specified time in accordance with the by-law.

ATV use is not permitted in any urban area or in the area west of Lake Range Drive to Lake Huron except as a direct access to the approved trail routes or to obtain core services such as food, lodging or fuel. ATV use is strictly prohibited on the lakeshore so as to not disturb the natural environment.
