Beaches, Parks & Trails

Huron-Kinloss has some spectacular beaches, parks and trails for you to enjoy!

Point Clark Beach

There are four main beaches in Huron-Kinloss: Point Clark Beach, Lurgan Beach, Bruce Beach and Boiler Beach. Each beach offers visitors something different. Point Clark Beach is the main beach and has seasonal washroom facilities, ample parking, a popular play area, volleyball court and a public boat launch. Lurgan and Bruce Beaches do not have washroom facilities but are well-used by cottagers and seasonal residents along the Lakeshore. Boiler Beach is named after the vessel Erie Belle and her boiler which now rests on the beach and was the only remaining part of the vessel after it exploded in the late 1880s. For more information on our beaches, download the Beach Brochure (Bruce County) at the right-hand side of this page and visit: www.huronkinloss.com/facilities.cfm?categoryid=5

Your children can choose from a number of different play areas in Huron-Kinloss. Many of our parks have new and unique play structures. Lewis Park in Ripley features an accessible swing, and splash pad. There is also a Splash Pad in Lucknow next to the Lucknow and District Sports Complex. You will also find tennis courts, skateboard parks and ball diamonds at some of our parks. For more information on our parks, visit: www.huronkinloss.com/facilities.cfm?categoryid=3

Each community in Huron-Kinloss offers scenic, well-maintained trails for leisure and recreational purposes. You will walk along the banks of Mill Pond and marvel at the beauty of Waterworks Park on a stroll along the Lucknow Walk. Lewis Trail and the Apple Rail Trail are two of our newest trails and they can be found in Ripley. Lewis Trail will lead you to the Huron Presbyterian Cemetary, which is where several of the first settlers to this area are buried. Linking to the Lewis Trail is the Apple Rail Trail. As its' name suggests, you will find lots of different kinds of apple trees along the shaded path. In the Lakeshore area you will find short and long treks through wooded areas.  For more information on our Trails, visit:   www.huronkinloss.com/facilities.cfm?categoryid=4
