Postition Description:

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting for a Part Time

Landfill Labourer for the Kinloss landfill site located at 690 Kairshea Avenue. 

The Kinloss landfill is open on Saturdays starting April - October each year.

Hours: Saturdays 10:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.

This position is responsible for the general maintenance of the Kinloss Landfill. The candidate would be responsible for the opening and closing of the landfill, sorting of material, monitoring recycling depots, maintenance of burning brush and regular maintenance of the landfill site.

 - Good verbal communication

Postition Description:

The Ripley-Huron Fire Department is recruiting 2

Firefighters (Casual/On-Call as required)

 

The applicants must possess:

  • A good attitude and the ability to support and project values compatible with the organization.
  • Must be willing to commit to a maximum 24 month internship in order to obtain NFPA Firefighter Certification as per Ontario Regulation.
  • Physical strength and agility necessary to perform arduous work, and to competently operate firefighting, rescue equipment and safety equipment, under all types of adverse conditions, for prolonged periods in stressful and demanding environments.
  • Effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff; in addition to the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to obtain within 24 months of hire; and maintain a valid Ontario Class “D” Drivers Licence with a “Z” Airbrake Endorsement.
  • Previous Firefighting, Emergency Medical Service or related training and experience will be considered an asset. Current and Valid First Aid and CPR certificate is an asset.
  • Applicants must reside within the Community of Ripley or within a 5 KM radius of the Ripley-Huron Fire Hall.  The ability to respond to emergencies during daytime hours will be a preferred asset.
