Lawn Watering

The Lawn Watering By-Law 2010-46 states that from June 1st to September 15th lawns may be watered between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. for those properties serviced by a municipal water supply except for those properties having automatic sprinkler systems. Residents with automatic sprinkler systems may water during the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.  Further, only odd numbered properties may water on odd numbered days and even numbered on even days.

There are exemptions for newly sodded or seeded lawns. Arrangements can be made with the By-Law Enforcement Officer. Tickets will be issued to those found in contravention of the by-law.
