2017 Budget Approved
Council adopts 2017 estimates
Council adopted the budget on March 20, 2017. The final result was a 2.9% increase to the municipal residential tax rate. The tax rate by-law will be brought forward once the education tax rate is set by the Province. Based on the actual County and an estimate of the education tax rate; the overall increase is 0.9%. For the "average" residential property this would represent an increase of $2.36 to the annual tax bill. For details on the projects included in the 2017 budget, see the attached information release.
