Poundkeepers

Under the Pounds Act R.S.O. 1990, Chapter p.17 every municipality may pass a by-law appointing poundkeepers. It is the responsibility of the poundkeeper to impound any horse, bull, ox, cow, sheep, goat, pig, or other cattle, geese or other poultry from running at large or for trespassing and doing damage to crops or fences.
