Looking for a cool place for a Wedding Reception?

The air conditioned Community Centre is located just south of the Sports Complex, overlooking the ball diamonds and Pool. (see pictures). It is home of the annual Fidler's Jamboree held the first week of August each year. The facility hosts other special events and is a very popular location for weddings, anniversaries and dances.

Community club volunteers raised funds to construct the facility in 1978. The Lucknow Lion's Club, Lucknow Kinsmen, and the Lucknow Agricultural Society continue to operate the facility today.

No need to worry about a liquor license! The Community Centre holds a permanent liquor license for functions up to 480 people. Bar tenders are supplied! It also has a meeting room for smaller functions, which can accommodate about 40 people. There is also a large kitchen serving the needs of any caterers, and separate bar area serving the hall. Pictured is Bill Hunter, local historian, and caretaker for the Community Centre. Bill was the Recreation Director in Lucknow for over 40 years, and has been a very active Lion's member for the past 48 years. Bill has been the major catalyst for many community projects during the last 35 years, including the community Centre. (Please include his picture)
