Welcome to Huron Kinloss

Source Water Protection

Source Water Protection Pans are a resource planning process that endevours to keep the sources of drinking water safe and usable.  The Clean Water Act, 2006 required all watersheds to develop Source Protection Plans.  The Township of Huron-Kinloss has two watersheds within its borders: Saugeen, Grey Sauble, Northern Bruce Peninsula Source Protection Region and the Ausable, Bayfield, Maitland Valley Source Protection Region.

The Drinking Water Source Protection program is looking to engage and educate the people they provide water to.
Do you know where your drinking water comes from?  Are you helping to protect it?
The Drinking Water Source Protection Committee for the Saugeen, Grey Sauble, Northern Bruce Peninsula Region is working towards developing Source Protection Plans.  These plans will include policies to reduce the risk of contamination and overuse to local drinking water sources.  To learn more about Drinking Water Source Protection and view reports on local drinking water sources visit: www. waterprotection.ca
