Kinloss Landfill Reopening

The Kinloss Landfill, located at 690 Kairshea Ave, will reopen to the public Saturday April 3rd and operate Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. until October 30th.

Accepted waste:

  • Scrap steel & white goods (any Freon must be removed prior to drop off)
  • brush
  • tires
  • recyclables

All items taken free of charge. No household garbage is accepted.

Spring Hydrant Flushing

Hydrants in the Drinking Water Systems shall be flushed as per the following schedule:

 Lakeshore Area Drinking Water System - April 5th to May 21

Lucknow Drinking Water System - May 10th to May 14

Ripley Drinking Water System - May 17 to May 21st

Whitechurch Drinking Water System blow-offs May 21st

Yard Waste Depot - Huron

Council has approved a new yard waste depot to be constructed adjacent to the Huron Landfill. It will be available 24/7 for the depositing of brush, branches that are less than 150 mm (6”) in diameter and 3 m (10’) long (no stumps or logs), leaves, and grass clippings. The anticipated opening will be mid-May.
