Huron-Kinloss Reopens Outdoor Recreation Amenities

In response to the latest provincial announcement, effective Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:01 am, outdoor amenities in Huron-Kinloss can reopen, following the public health safety guidelines.

These activities include:

  • Parks and recreational areas
  • Baseball diamonds
  • Batting cages
  • Soccer, football and sports fields
  • Tennis courts
  • Basketball courts
  • Skate parks
  • Golf courses
  • Cycling tracks and...

New Yard Waste Depot

There is a new yard waste depot open just east of the Huron Landfill entrance (2087 Concession 6 E).  Brush, leaves, branches, and grass clippings can be brought in paper bags at no charge.

Brush must be less than 150mm (6") in diameter and no more than 3 metres (10') in length. No stumps or logs are permitted.

Abuse of this facility may result in the removal of the depot.

Spring Hydrant Flushing - Ripley

The hydrants in the community of Ripley will be flushed the week of: May 17th - 21st.

During, or immediately after flushing activity, you may experience changes in water quality (i.e. yellowish water, low pressure).  You may wish to run taps or a garden hose to flush your internal system.
