Business Grants and Funding Opportunities
Own a commercial property or run a business within one of our Community Improvement Plan (CIP) areas? Then you might be eligible to use our Downtown Improvement Granting program to better your business!

Support for Workplace Training |
Huron-Kinloss businesses who provide workplace training for employees may be eligible to receive funding up to 50% of registration fee for up to $500 per employee. Businesses may be eligible to a maximum limit up to $2,000 per year. Courses must be relevant to the applicant's workplace. Pre-approval of the application is required. Proof that you have completed the program will be required. Limited funds are available. Training opportunities may include, but not limited to:
This funding is part of the Early Investment in Education and Skills Program, funded by Nuclear Waste Management Organization and administered by the Township of Huron-Kinloss. Community Energy Efficiency Grant |

Infrastructure Works and Accessibility Grant |
Designed to support the development, redevelopment, construction, or re-construction of a property, the Infrastructure Works and Accessibility Grant is tailor-made for BIG projects. What you need to know:

The value of this grant varies depending on the investment made. For example, improvements resulting in a $100,000 increase in your assessment value would receive a grant of $777 per year (based on 2020 figures). Marketing Grant |
You have a great business, so make sure your image promotes that! Our Marketing Grant allows you to hire an approved graphic designer or brand consultant to help develop your image. What you need to know:

Fascia Signage/Perpendicular Signage & Awning Grants |
3 collaborative grants with Spruce the Bruce, giving you the opportunity to install a new and updated flat sign on a commercial building; install a new perpendicular (blade / projecting) sign on the exterior of the downtown commercial building AND/OR install an awning on the exterior of the downtown commercial building.
