Bruce County Public Library Offering Free Rapid Tests
Starting Wednesday, February 16, Bruce County residents can pick up rapid tests at their local Bruce County Public Library Branch.

Municipal Office |
The Municipal Office at, 21 Queen Street in Ripley is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff will be available by appointment; however, some services may be impacted by staff working remotely. Please note you can apply for your dog licences, fire permits and building permits on-line. Council and Committee meetings will continue in an electronic format. Meetings are streamed through Zoom and can be accessed on the website. |
Recreation Facilities |
The Township of Huron-Kinloss recreation facilities have re-opened with public health safety measures in place. These facilities include: Outdoor amenities: Outdoor recreation amenities including public trails, playgrounds and the Point Clark Dog Park remain open. If you have questions about the Lucknow & District Sports Complex please contact 519-528-3002 ext. 1 or lucrec@hurontel.on.ca As of Tuesday March 1, 2022, the Township of Huron-Kinloss will no longer require proof of vaccination to enter public facilities. The Township will move towards a passive screening process, with each person entering a facility being required to self-screen based on information posted at facility entrances. Protective measures, such as wearing masks or other face coverings will continue. Enhanced cleaning measures continue, including sanitizing and disinfecting high touch surfaces and common areas such as washrooms Patrons are reminded that masks will continue to be required unless the participant is engaging in physical activity or is eating or drinking. Public Works - Garbage and Recycling |
Garbage and recycling pick-up in the Township of Huron-Kinloss will continue as scheduled. Fire Department |
The Township of Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services will continue to provide emergency response services from both the Lucknow and Ripley Fire Stations without delay or interruption. Both Fire Stations are closed to the public. |
Finance |
Taxes and Municipal Payments will continue to be processed. For all tax inquiries, questions about payments, or concerns, please contact the Treasury Department at 519-395-3735.
Pre-authorized payments and previously submitted post dated cheques will continue to be processed as usual unless you contact the Township office at 519-395-3735 or by email to make changes. Notification must be received at least one week prior to the scheduled date to allow time to process the change. Please remember that pre-authorized payment plans are designed to equalize your payments throughout the year and delaying payments will affect the remainder due for the year. |
Building, Planning and By-Law |
The Building & Planning Department continues to operate. Residents wishing to apply for a building permits can email the Building Department or use the online permitting system. Completed applications may be submitted by mail, e-mail or delivered the drop box located at the Municipal Office. Inspections can be scheduled by email or by phone, 519-395-3735. By-Law Enforcement continues to operate. To report By-Law complaints please contact (519)-395-3735 or for emergencies contact (519)-395-3844; response time will vary based on the nature of the complaint. |
The Hub |
