Garbage Pick-up
Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling (BASWR) picks up household garbage in the Township. If your garbage is missed, please call them at 1-800-794-9770.
The garbage pick up schedule will not change during the holidays.
Household garbage pick-up, know your section
Mondays
Section 1 - Lakeshore South – Ashfield boundary to south side of Pine River, Lake Huron shoreline east to and including both sides of Lake Range Dr and Arthur St
Tuesdays
Section 2 - Lakeshore North – North of Pine River to Kincardine boundary, Lake Huron shoreline east to and including both sides of Lake Range Dr
Section 5 - Community of Ripley
Wednesdays
Section 3 – All rural properties east of Lake Range Dr to and excluding Bruce Rd 7 (excluding Arthur St)
Section 4 – All rural properties east of and including Bruce Rd 7 excluding properties east of Bruce Rd 1, except Silver Lake Rd
Section 6 – All rural properties east of Bruce Rd 1 and from Grey Ox Ave north
Thursdays
Section 7 – All rural properties east of Bruce Rd 1 and south of Grey Ox Ave, and community of Lucknow, hamlet of Whitechurch

Bag Tags cost $2.50 each; each bag left at the curb must have a Huron-Kinloss bag tag attached and weigh no more than 11 kg (25 lbs.). Tags may be purchased at:

Is Your Hazardous Waste Going to the Right Place? Hazardous waste cannot be taken to the Landfill sites but the County of Bruce schedules annual events to ensure proper disposal of these items. |
Yard waste |
Leaf pick-up happens once a year in early November, sign up for notifications subscribe module. Leaves must be in paper bags, weigh no more than 11 kg (25 lbs.), and be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day. Brush and leaves can be taken to the Landfill sites during regular business hours, or the depot south of the soccer fields at 907 Havelock St, Lucknow. |
No large item pick-up
There is no large item pick-up. These items can be disposed of at the Huron Landfill site. at 2087 Concession 6 E for a fee ($105/metric tonne; minimum $25/load).
