July 4th, 2022 - Committee of the Whole Highlights

The Committee of the Whole meeting on July 4th returned to traditional in-person format at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley. 

Parking of Trailers in Residential Areas

A report regarding the draft Trailer By-Law was discussed. At the meeting, Council directed staff to undertake further public consultation.

Huron-Kinloss Community Septic Inspection & Part 8 Programs 

A staff report along with a memo from B.M. Ross and Associates Limited were presented to Council alongside two Memorandums of Agreement to continue both the Septic System Re-Inspection Program and Sewage System Management Program (Part 8) for another 8-year cycle.

Council received all information and asked that staff work with B.M. Ross to review the cost structure for the Septic System Re-Inspection Program and return with updated information at a future meeting.

Ripley Storm Sewer Tender

The Ripley Southwest Storm Sewer Tender report is the first phase of five in the reconstruction of streets in southwest Ripley. Staff received three tenders and Council agreed with the recommendation to award Omega Contractors Inc. with the project.

Next Meeting

The next Township of Huron-Kinloss Council meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11th, 2022. This will be held in-person within Council Chambers at the Municipal Office, 21 Queen Street in Ripley.
