Huron-Kinloss Reopens Outdoor Recreation Amenities

In response to the latest provincial announcement, effective Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:01 am, outdoor amenities in Huron-Kinloss can reopen, following the public health safety guidelines.

These activities include:

  • Parks and recreational areas
  • Baseball diamonds
  • Batting cages
  • Soccer, football and sports fields
  • Tennis courts
  • Basketball courts
  • Skate parks
  • Golf courses
  • Cycling tracks and bike trails
  • Horse riding facilities
  • Shooting ranges
  • Playgrounds
  • Boat and watercraft launch.
  • Archery ranges

Outdoor sports and recreation classes are not permitted in this stage of the re-opening plan.

We appreciate your patience as we work to re-open these facilities in Huron-Kinloss.

Outdoor Gathering Limits Expanded to 5 people

The Provincial Stay-at-Home Order remains in place until June 2, 2021; however, outdoor gathering limits have been expanded to 5 people (from different households). Indoor gatherings with those outside your household are not permitted.

Please Do Not Travel Outside Your Region

Do not travel outside your region unless absolutely necessary. You may travel outside your region for these reasons:

  • the grocery store or pharmacy
  • health care services (including getting vaccinated)
  • outdoor exercise or walking pets in your community.
  • work that cannot be done remotely
  • childcare

Garage and Yard Sales Are Not Permitted

Under the Provincial Stay-at-Home Order garage and yard sales are not permitted.

Camping and Campgrounds Open to Seasonal Residents Only

Campers with a full season contract or who require housing are permitted to stay in a seasonal campground.
