UPDATE: JANUARY 20, 2026 3:50 PM: Snow plow services on Township roads have ended for the day. Travel on Township roads should be avoided due to rapid drifting.
UPDATE: JANUARY 20, 2026 11:15 AM: The Significant Weather Event stays in effects. Plows are currently clearing Township roadways but some sections are experiencing rapid drift formation due to the wind. Travel should be avoided if possible.

The Township of Huron-Kinloss has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Township will be in a “state of repair” until further notice.
This declaration is not a notice of a reduced level of service or road closure. It is to notify drivers and pedestrians to use an appropriate level of caution when travelling during this event. Township staff are continuing to work diligently to ensure public safety. Your co-operation is appreciated.
