Road Closures for Lighthouse to Lighthouse Half Marathon (October 4, 2026)
The first annual Lighthouse to Lighthouse Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, beginning at the Point Clark Lighthouse and travelling along the lakeshore to the Kincardine Lighthouse. The 21.1 km race begins at 8:30 a.m.
The event is a fundraiser in support of the Kincardine & Community Health Care Foundation and the Kincardine hospital expansion.
Temporary road closures will be in place along the race route in Huron-Kinloss for the safety of participants and road users.
Roads will reopen on a rolling basis as the race progresses.
Huron-Kinloss Road Closures
The following roads and road sections will be temporarily closed:
- Lighthouse Road
- Huron Road to Potawatomi Drive
- Potawatomi to Attawandaron Road to Lake Range Drive
- Lake Range Drive to Concession 2
- Concession 2 to Victoria Road
- Victoria Road to St Arnaud to River Road / Alice Street
- Lake Range Drive from Alice Street to Bell Drive
- Bell Drive to Vozka Drive, including trail access
- Vozka Drive to Gordon Street
- Gordon Street to Concession 6
- Concession 6 to Lake Range Drive
- Lake Range Drive from Concession 6 to Concession 8
- Concession 8 to Boiler Beach Road
- Boiler Beach Road to Goderich Street
The race will then continue into the Municipality of Kincardine.
If you're travelling through the affected area that morning, allow extra travel time and plan to use an alternate route where possible. Watch for runners and follow all posted road closure signs and traffic controls.
