The Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Lucknow & District Fire Department are recruiting volunteer firefighters, offering an opportunity to learn new skills, work as part of a team, and help protect the communities you call home.

No previous firefighting experience is required. Successful applicants receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from experienced firefighters to help them develop the skills and confidence needed for the role.

Volunteer firefighters do more than respond to emergencies. They also help prevent fires, promote fire safety, and educate residents about protecting their homes, families, and communities.

Whether responding to an emergency, helping residents understand fire risks, or taking part in community events, volunteer firefighters play an important role in keeping our rural communities safe. They're neighbours who step up to help when their community needs them.

Curious about what it's like to be a volunteer firefighter? Join us at a recruitment open house to meet the Fire Chief and volunteer firefighters, ask questions, see the equipment up close, and learn more about the role.

You'll have an opportunity to hear firsthand about the training, responsibilities, and experience of serving with your local fire department. Spouses are encouraged to attend.
