TOWNSHIP OF HURON KINLOSS – ELECTION 2026
NOTICE OF NOMINATION FOR OFFICE

Nominations for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election open on May 1, 2026.

Candidates may be nominated for Township of Huron-Kinloss Council, including the offices of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and five (5) Councillors.

Candidates may also be nominated for School Board Trustee positions with the Bluewater District School Board, Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire Viamonde, and Conseil scolaire catholique Providence.

Nomination papers may be filed with the Township Clerk beginning May 1, 2026, during regular business hours. Nominations will be accepted until August 20, 2026.

Nomination Day takes place on August 21, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Residents who are thinking about running for Council are encouraged to attend a Candidate Information Workshop on May 14, 2026. The workshop will be offered in person at the Bruce County Administration Centre (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and virtually.

CANTON DE HURON-KINLOSS – ÉLECTIONS 2026
AVIS DE CANDIDATURE

Les candidatures pour les élections municipales et scolaires de 2026 seront ouvertes le 1er mai 2026.
Les candidats peuvent se présenter au conseil municipal du canton de Huron-Kinloss, notamment aux postes de maire, de maire adjoint et de cinq (5) conseillers.

Des candidats peuvent également se présenter aux postes de conseillers scolaires auprès du Conseil scolaire du district de Bluewater, du Conseil scolaire catholique du district de Bruce Grey, du Conseil scolaire Viamonde et du Conseil scolaire catholique Providence.

Les formulaires de candidature peuvent être déposés auprès du greffier du canton à compter du 1er mai 2026, aux heures d'ouverture habituelles. Les candidatures seront acceptées jusqu'au 20 août 2026.
Le dépôt des candidatures aura lieu le 21 août 2026, de 9 h à 14 h. Les résidents qui envisagent de se présenter au conseil municipal sont invités à participer à un atelier d'information à l'intention des candidats le 14 mai 2026. Cet atelier sera offert en personne au Centre administratif du comté de Bruce (30, rue Park, Walkerton) et en ligne.
