    The Township of Huron-Kinloss is pleased to announce the return of the Municipal By-Law Summer Patrol & Education Program for 2025. Now expanding beyond the Lakeshore, this initiative will cover the entire municipality, including Lucknow, Ripley, the Lakeshore, and Township parks.

  • Point Clark Lighthouse Reopens for Summer Tours June 27th, 2025!

    The iconic Point Clark Lighthouse is set to welcome visitors again starting this weekend! From June 27, 2025 through to September 1st, 2025, the Lighthouse will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering a unique historical experience and breathtaking views of the Lake Huron shoreline.

  • Alternative Property Tax Payment Options Available - Potential Canada Post Strike

    In light of the potential Canada Post strike, residents of the Township of Huron-Kinloss are reminded that they are still required to pay their property taxes by the due date of Monday, June 2nd, 2025. To ensure timely payments and avoid interest charges, residents are encouraged to utilize alternative payment options.

  • Second Installment of the 2025 Interim Tax Levy Is Due Monday, June 2nd, 2025

    Notice to Ratepayers: The second installment of the 2025 interim tax levy is due Monday, June 2nd, 2025. Payments accepted at most financial institutions, and include online banking, telephone banking and in-person payments made at your branch.  

  • Notice of Intention to Amend 2025 Budget

    The Council of the Township of Huron-Kinloss intends to amend the 2025 budget at the regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

  • Notice of Pesticide Use - May 2025

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss intends to control Invasive Species Phragmites Australis, poison Ivy, and Hogweed along the lakeshore, on sidewalks, road safety signs, and guard rails, and throughout municipally managed or owned property in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss Council meeting was held in Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley at 7:00 p.m. Highlights from the meeting include: 

  • Easter Holiday Facility Closures 2025

    The Municipal Office and Ripley-Huron Community Centre will be closed Friday April 18th and Monday April 21st. The Huron Landfill will be closed Friday April 18th and Saturday April 19th. Please plan accordingly.

  • Yard Waste Depots Re-Open April 11, 2025

    As of April 11th, 2025, the two Huron-Kinloss Yard Waste Depots will re-open. The yard waste depots are located at: Huron Yard Waste Depot: just east of the landfill at 2083 Concession 6 E. Lucknow Yard Waste Depot: 907 Havelock St. just south of the soccer fields.
