  • Empowering HK Volunteers April 23, 2026

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss invites all local service clubs and community groups to "Empowering HK Volunteers," an evening of professional development and networking.

    Held at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., attendees will gain practical strategies for volunteer recruitment, succession planning, and safe event management. This event is free to attend and includes light refreshments; however, registration is required by April 16, 2026, to confirm seating and catering.

  • Apple Tree Grafting - Adult Workshop April 25, 2026
    Come out to the garden and learn proper apple tree grafting techniques led by expert arborist Julie Lamberts of "By the Bluffs".
    In this workshop, you will be provided with apple scion wood, rootstock and the supplies for grafting. You will learn hands-on methods and techniques required to graft your very own apple tree to take home. All you need to bring is your own sharp knife and cut resistant gloves.
