Lunch Hour Adult Skate

Looking for something to keep you active during your lunch hour? Pop by the Ripley-Huron Community Centre for Lunch Hour Adult Skate! 

  • Monday to Friday
  • October 8 to March 28
  • 12:00pm - 1:00pm
  • Season Pass - 50 Skates for $100 ($2/skate)
  • Drop-In $3/skate

Adult Fitness Punch Card

Huron-Kinloss Community Services Department is offering a drop-in adult fitness punch card this winter in the auditorium at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre (RHCC). Sneak in your exercise while your child is on the ice for hockey or learn to skate!

The space and equipment is available during RHCC open hours and if the auditorium is not already rented for another event. Waivers and PAR-Q forms must be completed before the first use.

Punch cards will include a 10 pass for $100 (plus HST). Once a participant purchases the pass, they can use the spin bikes and fitness equipment. Participants can only use the equipment if a punch card it purchased. The card can be picked up at the RHCC administration office and when used, arena staff will punch the card each time. Participants must wipe the equipment down with disinfectant spray provided after each use.

Huff n' Puff 50+ Shinny Hockey

Over 50? Start the week right with a non-competitive pick-up hockey game! Huff n Puff is expanding this winter, offering two ice times a week to Monday and Fridays.

Friday mornings are NOW FULL, but players can still register for Monday mornings!

When: Mondays only, starting October 7, 2024
Time: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Ripley-Huron Community Centre
Cost: $200/player plus HST 

  • Full equipment is required and a CSA approved helmet
  • One dark and one light coloured jersey is required
  • No Contact
  • 28 skaters maximum or 14 for each team
  • 1.5 hour games with a flood
  • Goalies are no charge

Ladies Rec Hockey League in Ripley

Huron-Kinloss Community Services, in partnership with Molly Nixon, is now offering a Ladies Rec Hockey League this winter! If you are 30+ and wanting to play a non-competitive pick-up hockey game on Sunday mornings at the Ripley Arena. Registration Opens in August.

When: Sundays, starting October 20, 2024
Time: 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
Location: Ripley-Huron Community Centre
Cost: $210/player plus HST includes 22 games

  • Full equipment is required and a CSA approved helmet
  • No Contact
  • Players will need a light and dark jersey
  • 30 skaters maximum and 2 goalies
  • 1.5 hour games with a flood
  • Goalies are no charge
  • All Players insured thru the CARHA

Indoor Pickleball

Indoor Pickleball session is running from October 15 to April 30, and is offered Monday to Thursday at the Lucknow Community Centre from 10:00am to 12:00pm, as well as Monday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm most weeks.  Please reach out for further details regarding evening Pickleball. Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club

Are you over 55 and looking for new activities to keep you active? Then the Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club is for you! From shuffleboard to weekly card games, there is something for everyone!

The Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club is a local group of adults over the age of 55, who gather at the Point Clark Community Centre and participate in weekly activities. The Club has executive, who have monthly meetings to plan and coordinate events, activities and community events. New members are always welcome! The annual Membership Fee is $10. Executive Meetings are held the last Thursday each month with a potluck lunch from 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Aside from weekly activities, the Club has a Pancake Brunch, Harvest Dinner and Christmas Dinner for Club Members and a community Craft and Bake sale each fall!

The Point Clark Community Centre is located at 344 Lake Range Drive, Point Clark.

Lucknow Lawn Bowling Club

Looking to learn a new sport? Join Lucknow Lawn Bowling and Social Club! The club offers young adults and senior leagues, every Wednesday and Thursday starting mid-April.

  • Games are played 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. (please arrive at 6:30 p.m.)
  • Seniors League Only - Thursday mornings
  • Free Lessons - Thursday mornings
  • Equipment is available to borrow

Point Clark Outdoor Pickleball

Enjoy outdoor pickleball from May to September in the Point Clark Community Centre parking lot, Monday to Friday from 9:30AM - 11:30AM. The cost for the season is $44. Registration for Outdoor Pickleball in Point Clark will open May 1, 2024. 

Thank you to all the dedicated pickleball players this season! Pickleball registration will reopen again May 2025.
