Paddle Into Adventure

Active Living 55+ offering a new introduction to canoeing with Bro's Canoes for adults over 55.

Enjoy a beginner friendly paddling series designed for older adults looking to stay active, connect with nature and enjoy time on the water in a safe, supportive environment.

Ladies Rec Hockey League in Ripley

Huron-Kinloss Community Services, offers a Sunday morning Ladies Rec Hockey League this winter! If you are 25+ and wanting to play a non-competitive pick-up hockey game on Sunday mornings at the Ripley Arena. Registration opens September 1, 2026.

Starting October 18
Time: 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
Location: Ripley-Huron Community Centre
Cost: $210/player for 23 games

  • Full equipment is required and a CSA approved helmet
  • No Contact
  • Players will need a light and dark jersey
  • 30 skaters maximum and 2 goalies
  • 1.5 hour games with a flood
  • Goalies are no charge

New this year - drop in option. $15/player.

Huff n' Puff is for hockey players over 50 and is a non-competitive pick-up hockey game on Monday and Friday mornings. 

When: Mondays and Fridays starting October 2027
Time: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Active Living 55+ - POUND Class

ACTIVE LIVING 55+ is thrilled to partner with the Ripley Legion and the Ripley Community Centre to bring more fun, fitness and connection to our rural communities!!

Join us for POUND with Barb Abell, our newly hired facilitator for this exciting class

What is POUND? Pound is a fun, music-based fitness class that uses light weighted drumsticks to combine movement, rhythm and exercise.  It helps improve strength, balance, coordination and cardiovascular fitness- all while having a great time!

No experience is needed.  Come, move, laugh and make new connections in Ripley.

Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club

Are you over 50 and looking for new activities to keep you active? Then the Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club is for you! From shuffleboard to weekly card games, there is something for everyone!

The Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club is a local group of adults over the age of 50, who gather at the Point Clark Community Centre and participate in weekly activities. The Club has executive, who have monthly meetings to plan and coordinate events, activities and community events. New members are always welcome! The annual Membership Fee is $10. Executive Meetings are held the first Thursday each month. Potluck lunch for all members is the last Thursday of the month.

Aside from weekly activities, the Club has a Pancake Brunch, Harvest Dinner and Christmas Dinner for Club Members and a community Craft and Bake sale each fall!

The Point Clark Community Centre is located at 344 Lake Range Drive, Point Clark.

Adult Fitness Punch Card

Huron-Kinloss Community Services Department is offering a drop-in adult fitness punch card this winter in the auditorium at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre (RHCC). Sneak in your exercise while your child is on the ice for hockey or learn to skate!

The space and equipment is available during RHCC open hours and if the auditorium is not already rented for another event. Waivers and PAR-Q forms must be completed before the first use.

Punch cards will include a 10 pass for $50 (plus HST). Once a participant purchases the pass, they can use the spin bikes and fitness equipment. Participants can only use the equipment if a punch card it purchased. The card can be picked up at the RHCC administration office and when used, arena staff will punch the card each time. Participants must wipe the equipment down with disinfectant spray provided after each use.

Indoor Pickleball

Indoor Pickleball session is running from October 15 to April 30, and is offered Monday to Thursday at the Lucknow Community Centre from 10:00am to 12:00pm, as well as Monday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm most weeks.  Please reach out for further details regarding evening Pickleball. Lucknow Lawn Bowling Club
