Bartenders - Casual

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting for experienced Bartenders. This position is responsible for following all safe alcohol practices established through Smart Serve and the Township of Huron-Kinloss, when running the bar at licensed events.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Smart Serve designation is mandatory
  • Experience dealing with the public
  • Experience handling cash

Fire Chief - Full-Time

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting an experienced professional to join our leadership team as the Fire Chief. This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary, pension and an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications of an ideal candidate:

  • A university degree or college diploma in administration/management 
  • NFPA 1021  Fire Officer I-IV
  • NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector
  • NFPA 1033 Fire Investigator
  • NFPA 1035 Fire and Life Safety Educator
  • NFPA 1041  Fire Instructor I & II.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act and National Fire Protection Association codes
  • Possess knowledge and skills in the safe operation of all types of fire and emergency vehicles, equipment and safety and protective devices
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, public relations/customer service skills required

Relief Crossing Guard - Casual

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting for a Relief Crossing Guard. This position is responsible for assisting school age children safely across an established cross walk in Lucknow for safe arrival to and from school.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the applicable rules and regulations of the Highway Traffic Act
  • Experience working with people
  • Ability to stand for 2 hours per day
  • Ability to walk, and work outdoors in the elements
  • Alertness, adequate hearing and vision
  • A clear vulnerable sector check
