Landfill Attendant - Part-Time

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting for a Part-Time Landfill Attendant. This position oversees the entry and exit of all vehicles to the landfill. The hours of work will be Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 18 hours per week. This position is part of a collective agreement.

Qualifications:

  • Working with customers
  • Handling cash transactions
  • Computer and software knowledge
  • Math, analytical, problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work alone, or in a team

Relief Crossing Guard - Casual

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting for a Relief Crossing Guard. This position is responsible for assisting school age children safely across an established cross walk in Lucknow for safe arrival to and from school.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the applicable rules and regulations of the Highway Traffic Act
  • Experience working with people
  • Ability to stand for 2 hours per day
  • Ability to walk, and work outdoors in the elements
  • Alertness, adequate hearing and vision
  • A clear vulnerable sector check
