Casual Facility Operators - Seasonal

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is currently recruiting for Casual Facility Operators. This position is responsible for maintaining the arena facility in a clean and safe manner. They will complete routine maintenance and any other services provided by the Community Services department, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized training in facility maintenance, ice making and maintenance (ORFA courses)
  • Training on specialized equipment; eg., ice resurfacer
  • Ability to work alone or in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience dealing with the public
  • Ability to perform preventative and routine maintenance

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting experienced Relief Snow Plow Operators for the Department of Public Works. This position operates a variety of equipment for snow removal purposes, on a relief basis.

Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Mental alertness
• Quick decision making
• AZ/DZ drivers license
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Experience operating a snow plow
• Experience dealing with the public
• Experience patrolling winter roads, or be available to attend a patrolling course

 Full-Time Snow Plow Operators - Seasonal

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is recruiting experienced Full-Time Snow Plow Operators for the Department of Public Works. This position operates a variety of equipment for snow removal purposes and is responsible for the patrolling and winter maintenance. The contract is from November 1st – April 30th.

Applicants must possess the following skills/qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Mental alertness

  • Experience dealing with the public
