Municipal By-Law Summer Patrol & Education Program 2026
The Township of Huron-Kinloss is pleased to announce the return of the Municipal By-Law Summer Patrol & Enforcement Program for 2026. The program will serve the entire municipality, including Lucknow, Ripley, the Lakeshore, and Township parks.
Extra municipal law enforcement officers will be on duty during the busy tourism season, the program aims to promote community safety, raise awareness of local by-laws, and support a respectful and enjoyable environment for all.
The Township has partnered with Municipal Support Services to assist with by-law enforcement. Officers will be patrolling in clearly marked vehicles and will be a visible presence in the community throughout the season.
Program Focus Areas

Dog Licensing and Control: Ensuring dogs are licensed and not running off-leash on beaches or public property.

Beach Regulations: Enforcing beach rules such as addressing abandoned items with no person present and refuse left on the beach as outlined in the Beach Management By-law.

Parking Restrictions: Monitoring for vehicles parked in no-parking areas or in a manner that is unsafe or obstructive.
