    Feeling stretched Caring for a Loved on?

    Join the Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshop from your own computer or device 

    Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
    Beginning October 1st to November 5th, 2024

    This FREE six-week workshop will help caregivers care for themselves and:

    • reduce stress
    • better communicate feelings
    • increase their ability to make tough decisions
    • locate helpful resrouces 
    • take care of themselves

    You are a Caregiver if you... 

    • provide care for a family member or friend in their home or yours or from a distance
    • attend appointments with another persion
    • assist with grocery shopping, laundry and household chores

  • Huron Fringe Naturalists Meeting October 22, 2024

    The Huron Fringe Field Naturalists welcome visitors and new members to the first meeting of the new season, Tuesday, September 24th at 7 pm at the Point Clark Community Centre.

    Meetings are 4th Tuesday of the month in September-November, then again February to June at the Point Clark Community Centre. 

    Includes social time at 7 PM followed by reports and guest speaker at 7:20PM. 

    Membership is $25/year. 

    Offering schedule of outdoor events, in every season, including hikes, bird watches, tours of area gardens and farms and a yearly exploration of the Bruce Peninsula.

    Mark your calendars! Our Kinettes have another event for your littles. The Halloween Skate is back again this year.

    Bring out your ghost & goblins for a free skate at the Lucknow Arena the Sunday before Halloween, from 12-1pm.

  • Jack-o'-Lantern Trail at Bruce Botanical Food Gardens in Ripley November 01, 2024

    Join Us for the Jack-o’-Lantern Trail at the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens!

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss and the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens (BBFG) are excited to announce a new community event - the Jack-o’-Lantern Trail!

    Join us on Friday, November 1 at the BBFG in Ripley for a family-friendly evening, filled with Halloween fun and community spirit. Wear your Halloween costume (optional) and enjoy a walk through the gardens, lit up from the glow of jack-o’-lantern masterpieces. Remember – no spooks! Warm apple cider and hot chocolate is available by donation to support the BBFG.

    Drop off your carved pumpkins (no paint, stickers, glitter, toothpicks) on November 1, at one of the locations listed below. Our volunteers will carefully arrange and light your creations, transforming the gardens into a magical Jack-o’-Lantern Trail from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Afterwards, the pumpkins will be donated to local farmers and kept out of our landfills!
