Municipal By-Law Summer Patrol & Education Program 2025

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is pleased to announce the return of the Municipal By-Law Summer Patrol & Education Program for 2025. Now expanding beyond the Lakeshore, this initiative will cover the entire municipality, including Lucknow, Ripley, the Lakeshore, and Township parks. Running during the peak summer season, the program aims to promote community safety, raise awareness of local by-laws, and support a respectful and enjoyable environment for all.

The Township has partnered with Municipal Support Services to assist with by-law enforcement. Officers will be patrolling in clearly marked vehicles and will be a visible presence in the community throughout the summer. While education remains the first priority, active enforcement will be more prominent than in previous years to ensure compliance and safety.

Program Focus Areas

• Dog Licensing and Control: Ensuring dogs are licensed and not running off-leash on beaches or public property.

• Golf Cart Permits: Verifying that all golf carts are operating with a valid Township of Huron-Kinloss permit under the Golf Car Pilot Program.

• Beach Regulations: Enforcing beach rules as outlined in the Beach Management By-law.

• Parking Restrictions: Monitoring for vehicles parked in no-parking areas or in a manner that is unsafe or obstructive.
