Fire and Emergency Services

The Township of Huron-Kinloss provides Fire and Emergency services, supported by the Lucknow & District Fire Department, the Ripley-Huron Fire Department, Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services, South Bruce OPP and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

The fire departments that provide fire protection services to our communities do so with a focus on the Office of the Fire Marshal's three lines of defence: Public education and prevention, Fire safety standards and code enforcement and emergency response.

Lucknow & District Fire Department, Station # 160

The Lucknow & District Fire Department is jointly owned by the Township of Huron Kinloss and the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. The Lucknow & District Fire Department is Managed and Operated by the Township of Huron-Kinloss Fire & Emergency Services under the leadership of the Township Fire Chief.  Fire Protection Services from this Fire Station are provided by 26 volunteer firefighters, serving areas of Lucknow, Whitechurch, the former Kinloss Township and parts of the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh and areas in between.

Ripley-Huron Fire Department, Station # 150

The Ripley-Huron Fire Department is Owned, Managed and Operated by the Township of Huron-Kinloss Fire & Emergency Services under the leadership of the Township Fire Chief.  Fire Protection Services from this Fire Station are provided by 26 volunteer firefighters, serving the areas of Ripley, the Lakeshore Communities and the former Huron Township and a small portion of the Municipality of Kincardine under an Automatic Aid agreement.

Kincardine Fire Department, Station #120

Under an Automatic Aid Agreement with the Township of Huron-Kinloss; the Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services provides fire protection services to defined areas south of Saratoga Road, North of Concession Road 8 and West of Highway 21 as well as some select rural properties located in proximity to this area of the Township.
