As required by the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, the Township of Huron-Kinloss’ Municipal Emergency Response Plan describes how emergencies will be responded to within the township. The Municipal Emergency Response Plan is updated on a regular basis and outlines the roles and responsibilities of Council and staff in the event of an emergency.
Emergency Management
Emergency Management is the prevention, mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery of emergency situations. The Township of Huron-Kinloss’ Emergency Management Program includes a regularly updated Municipal Emergency Response Plan, public awareness programs, emergency exercises, and identification of critical infrastructure.
If an event exceeds the Township of Huron-Kinloss’ response capabilities, agreements are in place with municipal, provincial, and federal governments for additional resources and assistance.
