Fire Services

The Lucknow & District Fire Department and Ripley-Huron Fire Department provides services and programs in our community to protect lives, property and the environment. We follow the three lines of fire safety defence:
- Public education
- Inspection and enforcement
- Emergency response
We respond to service calls for fires, fire alarm activation, carbon monoxide alarms, motor vehicle accidents, rescues, emergency medical intervention with Bruce County EMS, and natural disasters.

Fire Safety Inspections
Whether it's a home, education facility, office building or event venue, fire safety saves lives. If you own a building, you are responsible for ensuring it's maintained in compliance with the Ontario Fire Code which can help save lives, prevent injuries and save structures.
Who do you contact to request a fire safety inspection?
To request a Fire Inspection or to report a non-urgent Fire Safety concern for all areas within the Township of Huron-Kinloss or within the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh areas covered by the Lucknow & District Fire Department, please contact the The Township of Huron-Kinloss Fire & Emergency Services Fire Chief.
Please do not call 911 to request an inspection.
