Significant Weather Event Declaration (Issued JANUARY 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM)
The Township of Huron-Kinloss has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. All Township‑maintained roads and sidewalks will be in a “state of repair” until further notice.
This declaration is not a notice of reduced service levels or road closures. It is issued to advise drivers and pedestrians to use extra caution when travelling during this event. Township crews continue to work diligently to maintain public safety. Your cooperation is appreciated.

JANUARY 23, 2026 - 7:50 AM Plows are out. Concession Roads and Lake Range Drive are passable but experiencing drifting in sections. Crews are currently working to open Sideroads.

Township roads are currently in good condition; however, the Significant Weather Event remains in effect due to forecasted snowfall.

Snow plow services have ended for the day. Travel should be avoided due to rapid drifting.

The Significant Weather Event remains active. Plows are clearing roadways, but drifting is occurring in several areas. Travel should be avoided if possible.
