  • Tim Horton's Smile Cookie - VON: Ontario Student Nutrition Program May 03, 2026

    Tim Hortons recently announced that Smile Cookie Week will take place from April 27 – May 3 2026 and we’re proud to announce that VON- Ontario Student Nutrition Program in Grey Bruce is the recipient in Lucknow. All week long, 100% of proceeds from Tim Hortons Smile Cookies sold in Lucknow will be donated to our organization, and in turn to our local schools. We’re excited to be rallying the community for their support! The following schools will benefit from the funds raised:

    • Lucknow Central Public School
    • Ripley Huron Community School
  • Lucknow Presbyterian Church: 153rd Anniversary Service May 03, 2026

    Join us on Sunday, May 3rd at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate 153 years of faith and community! This special anniversary service features:

    • Guest Speaker: Rev. John Borthwick

    • Guest Soloist: Alyse Ireland

    • Fellowship: A community lunch will follow the service.

    Everyone is welcome to attend this milestone celebration. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Let's Talk Lake Huron! Chemical Contaminants in Lake Huron May 05, 2026

    Join us as we learn about contaminants affecting Lake Huron. Mark your calendars for May 5, 2026, at 11 am CT (12 pm ET) for a one-hour public webinar, “Chemical Contaminants in Lake Huron,” as part of our Let’s Talk Lake Huron! webinar series.

    Learn about the current status and trends of chemical pollutants in Lake Huron. Find out how mercury and PFAS move through the food web and impact the lake’s ecosystem. We will also hear how agricultural runoff may be influencing mercury levels in Lake Huron’s tributaries.

    Guest speakers are Sarah Janssen (U.S. Geological Survey); Grace Armstrong (U.S. Geological Survey); and Carl Mitchell (University of Toronto).

  • 10th Annual Huron Shores Hospice Hike for Hospice May 09, 2026
     

    We are so excited to welcome our community to come together once again at the Davidson Centre for our 9th Annual Hike for Hospice.  Funds raised from our Hike for Hospice will provide quality end-of-life care in our 2-bed (soon to be 3!)  hospice and support our Community Programs. 100% of the funds raised stay in our community!

    Join us for our Hike for Hospice on Saturday, May 9th, 2026. Rain or shine! This year, hike individually, rally together a team of friends and family, join our Corporate Challenge or challenge a friend or co-worker to help raise money for compassionate and dignified end-of-life care in our community. Hike the Kincardine trails  with us, starting at the Davidson Centre.

    Registration for hikers will start at 9:30 am at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. We will kickoff the event at 10:00 a.m. at the Davidson Centre. From 10:30 am - 12:30pm, we will hike together and end back at the Davidson Centre at approximately 12:30 for prizes, activities and the announcement of our grand total.  ​

    Let's make our 10th Annual Hike for Hospice an extra memorable one! 

    Team Challenge: Rally Your Crew!

    Gather your family, friends, or co-workers to hike as a team. Set a collective fundraising goal and challenge another team to a friendly competition. Prizes for the top fundraisers, and a trophy (and bragging rights for the team who raises the most).

    Let’s inspire each other to go the extra mile!

  • Heritage Park Tree Planting May 09, 2026

    The Saugeen Habitat Collective, together with the Township of Huron‑Kinloss, invites residents to take part in a community tree planting at Heritage Park. The event will take place on Friday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. at 911A Greg’s Trail.

    Participants are encouraged to bring a shovel and wear sturdy footwear. Coffee and timbits will be provided, and the event will take place rain or shine.

    All are welcome to participate.

  • Ripley & District Horticultural Society Meeting May 20, 2026

    Join us as we welcome Bruce Botanical Food Gardens Manager Olivia Haufe to bring us up to date on programs and activities in the community gardens. 

    We'll also discuss upcoming community beautification projects and organize volunteers. Lug a mug and napkin for refreshments and bring a friend!
