  • Community Soup & Bun Lunch October 07, 2025

    St. Andrews UCW is hosting a Community Soup & Bun Lunch on Tuesday, October 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Andrews Church, 26 Tain Street.

    Enjoy homemade soup and fresh buns. A freewill donation is appreciated. All are welcome to join!

  • Youth Cooking Class October 07, 2025

    Are you children interested in learning to cook? Join Kala Stuckless at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre for Empowering Kitchen Cooking Demos! Junior bakers (ages 6 to 12 years) can create masterpieces and learn the love of baking/cooking and bring home their tasty creations!

    Classes are Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00pm. The cost is $50/child

    • October 7 - Thanksgiving Baking

    • October 21 - Starbucks Copycat Treats

    • November 4 - Harry Potter Themed Meal

    • November 25 - Christmas Baking

  • Fire Prevention Week Family Open House – Ripley October 07, 2025

    Fire prevention is important all year long, but Fire Prevention Week is a special time to come together as a community to learn, share, and take action.

    Join Huron-Kinloss Fire & Emergency Services at our open houses for an evening of fire safety education and family-friendly fun.

    This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” Learn how to safely use, charge, and dispose of lithium-ion batteries commonly found in everyday items like phones, toys, tools, and e-bikes.

    Each open house will feature:

    • Fire prevention activities for all ages

    • “Touch a Truck” fire truck tours

    • Free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and treats

    It’s a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters, ask questions, and help your family stay fire-safe at home.

  • Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club - Crafts! October 09, 2025

    The Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club is a local group of adults over the age of 55, who gather at the Point Clark Community Centre and participate in weekly activities. The Club has executive, who have monthly meetings to plan and coordinate events, activities and community events. New members are always welcome! The annual Membership Fee is $10. Executive Meetings are held the last Thursday each month with a potluck lunch from 12:00pm - 1:00pm

    Aside from weekly activities, the Club has a Pancake Brunch, Harvest Dinner and Christmas Dinner for Club Members and a community Craft and Bake sale each fall!
